Well, kind of.

I have been thinking of making a comic with the main character being my Blythe doll.  But I have been trying to figure out how to get around basic things like standing.  Well on the This Is Blythe forums I read a thread about how other people get their girls to stand up.  I was going to try the fork idea, but the chopstick idea sounded a littler better.  So I grabbed some chopsticks and rigged them up to prop Ann Marie up.




Once again, terribly blurry.  My mom was sick at the time and sleeping and I didn't want to disturb her with the flash.  But you can see that she is standing up.  Its a bit wobbly and I wouldn't trust it outside on the sidewalk for sure.  But on carpet, its ok for now.  Its still a work in progress, but I just wanted to show you what it looked like.  So I think I will carry through with the comic now that I have another posing option for her.  Should be interesting and fun to do.  So I will keep you up-to-date on the process too.  That's all for now.  Talk to you all again soon.

Ugh!  *Gets on her soapbox.*  Ok, so I was reading a blog post by this man who was talking about Hi: Glamm Girls.  I saw they had some on clearance in Toys R Us yesterday and was trying to consider if I wanted them...just for the record I think I have decided against getting them in turn for something else.  Anywho, this guy was talking about how the dolls will make little girls want to be anorexic.  Ok, this just irritated me.  I truly do not think that dolls make you want to be anorexic.  I played with Barbies for hours a day and never once thought "Oh if I don't eat I will look just like Barbie.".  Do you know what made me not want to eat?  The freaking media!  They showed the world that if you weren't thin, looking like you are hunched over on Death's doorstep, then you weren't pretty.  The fashion industry made me feel like if you weren't thin you didn't deserve to wear nice clothing.  My peers made me feel like if I wasn't thin then I didn't deserve to hang with them.  Barbie on the other hand had NOTHING to do with me trying to starve myself or overdosing on dieting pills because I thought it would make me skinner that much sooner and then I would be "acceptable".  So I wish people would just shut up about girls sticking their fingers down their throats or skipping meals just because they want to look like Barbie or Hi: Glamm GIrls, or Bratz, or any hunk of plastic out there that they know is make-believe and not real.  Maybe its time to really attack the media and the fashion industry instead of some stupid dolls.  *Gets off her soapbox.*  I thank you.

Yep, it has happened people.  I have finally made it to my birthday and I've hit a new milestone in my life.  I'm 30 years old!!!  I used to dread this day, but I am noticing different things about myself now and now I don't see 30 as being so bad any more.  I think the 30s are going to be fun.    I plan to take some pictures today of my cake, balloon, and some other stuff.  Yesterday I took some "Myspace-ish" pictures to post on my personal blog.  No, not for Myspace.  I hate that place with a passion.  LOL!  I actually just closed my Myspace the other day.  I don't like it.  So all pictures will be on my personal blog and Flickr.  Well that's all for now.  I'm off to update my personal blog some, make a new DeviantArt account, and get ready to make some serious updates to my personal blog and maybe my YouTube.  We'll see, I have a busy day ahead of me.  Talk to you all later.

For you, the lovely ladies and gentlemen of "blog viewing land", I made the ultimate sacrifice.  I decided not to torture you anymore but to torture myself, and get a new layout now, today, pronto.  So here you go my lovlies, a new easier to view layout. I actually like it.  Only really took about 30 minutes for me to get everything sorted out and the css the way I wanted it.  I might tweak it a little more later, but for now, this is good.  So I hope those of you who gave up after giving it a minute to load will come back and try again.  I promise never to leave you to deal with a long loading layout ever again.  *Huggles.* *Smoochies.*  Ok, now let's get back to doll business. 

Hey guys, I just wanted to inform you all of a few changes here on the blog.  First of all, some entries have been deleted from the blog, and some of those deleted were put on my personal blog.  This is just my attempt to make this more doll and toy oriented.  Of course I will still put some personal stuff here when it directly affects the blog, but other than that it will be on my personal blog, that is linked over on the left.

Speaking of location of links, I know my blog takes forever to load, and thanks to those of you who actually sit and wait for it to load.  While I do like the layout, I think its time to think of my readers now.  So I am going to change the layout in the near future.  Right now I am using one linked from someone else's blog that takes forever to load.  Its a layout blog and I loved this layout, but I want to make it easier for all of you to see my blog.  So I will work on that in the next few days.

Also, some of the projects I talked about here that I was working on have also been moved to my personal blog, only because they weren't doll related.  So go on over there to be updated on those and also to see what else I am up to. Ok, so I may be late in seeing this, but I was on YouTube today looking at videos and came across this music video with Fashion Royalty dolls in it.  I thought the video itself was interesting with the dolls, but the song itself was kind of lame.  LOL!  But whatever, I give you two choices dears.  Either watch the video here on my blog

So what is this post about?  Am I making a blog update?  Nope, not really.  This post is about all of you, my readers who also have blogs and those of you who don't read my blog but I read your blogs.  It has been pretty slow the past few days on blogs being updated, then today I see a ton of updates.  Woot!  It was like freaking Christmas morning.  I know, I know, I need to make more updates myself.  I just haven't been doing much dollwise so I have been posting on my other blog more.  Its linked to the left.  Paisley Girl is my other blog I put more personal stuff.  So check it out if you get a chance.  But I will post more, I promise.  But this post is for those of you out there who update your blogs.  Thank you for taking the time to share with the rest of us and updating your blogs.  Without you my day is just thismuch sadder.  So thanks.  And now I am off to "open my presents" and enjoy some good reading. 

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I updated my Personal Links to include some things I am working on now.  First is my new personal blog Paisley Girl.  This is where I will now be putting stuff not doll related.  So say good-bye to the odd-ended posts I have been putting here.  There will be in my personal blog from now on, along with other things about my life or that I find interesting.  I am hoping to start doing some vlogging to and incorporate that into my blog as well.  So if you want to keep up with my "personal" stuff, go on over there to check it out. 

Next on the list is Le Petit Gifts.  Now you will notice its on there twice.  Because one is my Etsy shop and one is my Ecrater shop.  I plan on using both of those.  Not sure how I will work those, but I will keep you updated.  Both shops are unworked on, but you can still go see them.  They will be changed in the near future.
